Do I need Wi-Fi or a smartphone app to use the purifier?
No. Avata Air works out of the box in Auto Mode without an internet connection. The onboard sensors adjust the fan speed automatically based on live air quality. However, pairing with the companion app (over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi) unlocks remote control, detailed historical trend graphs, custom timers, and filter health notifications.
What does the Air Health Score mean?
The Air Health Score (0–100) is generated in real time using Biomoneta’s proprietary machine-learning model. Instead of relying on a single PM2.5 reading, it combines data from particulate sensors (PM2.5, PM4, PM10), VOC, CO₂, temperature, humidity, and microbial load to evaluate the overall quality of your indoor air.
What do the light colours on the top ring indicate?
Green: Good air quality (runs at the lowest, quietest fan speed)
Amber: Moderate air quality (runs at medium fan speed)
Red: Poor air quality (ramps up to maximum fan speed)
How long does the filter last, and how do I replace it?
The ZeBox™ filter is rated for approximately 8,750 hours (about 1 year of continuous 24/7 use). When it is time to change it, the filter indicator on the touch panel flashes and the companion app sends an alert. Filters are tool-free and swap out in seconds.
What routine upkeep is required?
Periodically vacuum or wipe the lower air-inlet mesh with a soft, dry cloth to prevent large dust buildup and maintain airflow.
What should I check before turning it on for the first time?
Always unlock the top enclosure, remove the protective plastic bag wrapped around the internal filter, retrieve the included 24 V power adapter, refit the filter, and lock the lid back in place. Running the unit with the plastic wrapping on will block airflow and cause noise.
Is Avata Air noisy in a bedroom?
No. Avata Air operates at a maximum noise level of ≤ 50 dB(A) at peak speed. Holding the Sleep Mode button for 3 seconds dims all display lights and locks the fan to whisper-quiet low speed.
Where should I place the unit?
Place the purifier upright on a flat, stable surface with at least 50 cm of clearance from walls, furniture, and curtains. Avoid wet or high-moisture areas such as bathrooms or open kitchens.
